At some point in choosing a creative life you had a deep feeling for what your art form could do. You bundled up your courage and JUMPED! And then you did it and did it and did it until you couldn’t remember what you were doing it for.
Sound familiar?
In response to this feeling I’ve come up with this series of Open Hearted workshops to draw a chalk circle and say ‘Come in here with like minded people if you want to replenish your faith in what you do.’
There are fantastic skills to be discovered drawn from a lot of different sectors. I draw from business, creative thinking, spiritual practice, health, and the school of hard knocks to bring in the most ’stuck busting’ combo of tips and tools for creative people.
Check out the workshops and contact me if you would like to host one (or more!) in your organisation/community.

Recommended for singers, instrumentalist, singing teachers, actors, entrepreneurs and professionals at the creative edge of business.
Been watching Australian Idol? Why is it that some contestants perform and you just can’t take your eyes off them? Everything around them appears warm and alive. Then others leave you cold. What is that? And how come the more the Australian Idol judges push the singers to find that warmth and aliveness, the worse they become?
I will show you the Open Hearted performance secrets that makes you the performer/presenter no one can take their eyes off.

‘Critically compared with the likes of Joni Mitchell and Annie Lennox, she possesses a voice that is rich, hypnotic and lustrous. Her songs are eclectic and unusual, tuneful and full of layers of simple melodies.’ The Age

The more commercial the end use of the material, the more contracts we sign etc…
The Commissioning process

I interview you to arrive at a brief
I draft the initial lyrics and we discuss them to refine the details
I refine the lyrics and present them to you
You approve them
Then I set them to music
You review the music and I refine it
I record it
You take it and use it for its purpose

Commissioning a song for personal use
Do you want to give the ultimate gift to someone you love? I can write and record a song for you.
Commissioning a song for a creative project
Sometimes the red tape to get the use of a song can be hell. Why not have one custom built?
Commissioning a song for advertising
Brief me, show me what you want and we’ll make something so perfect for your message
it’ll send
Commissioning a song for a public education programme
Commissioning a song for film and video

For newbies and professionals in need of a systematic approach to CD production.
Making a CD for commercial release, even if you’re only going to sell it at gigs, is NOT just about time in the studio. It’s a long term creative project with steps and stages and legal requirements. What starts as a heartfelt dream can very easily end in tears if you don’t have a road map.
From song selection, managing studio time and budgets to manufacturing, let me show you how to manage your CD project step-by-step create something really special that will sell.
This workshop doesn’t cover sales and promotion. That comes later…
